…a little about me…

I earned a BA in Child and Youth Care and a Masters in Counselling from the University of Victoria. I have had the opportunity to  work with children, youth, adults and families in a variety of settings for over 25 years.

 My work has included individual counselling with children, teens and adults;  family counselling ; and relationship counselling…empowering all who are willing: adults, children and youth to move forward with confidence and peace in their lives.

My goal is to provide all of my clients with a comfortable process that supports growth, hope, and change through sincerity, respect and acceptance. Through the counselling process we will work together to better understand the patterns that may be holding you back in your life and resolve the challenges that you are facing. I will offer you a highly personalized and interactive approach using a variety of complementary methods and techniques to suit your needs.

… my work with Youth…

I worked at the Mary Manning Centre (Child Abuse Counselling and Prevention Centre) for over 15 years providing counselling to children and teens who were recovering from trauma and abuse. I loved my work and I learned the power of using interactive and expressive therapies with my young clients. I continue to have a strong passion for working with children and teens to help them overcome barriers and create a toolbox of strategies for them to be empowered and to thrive!

 

…my fees…

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.).  My fees are covered by some extended health plans and insurance companies but I do not offer direct billing. An official receipt will be issued after payment is received and you may be able to claim this service , depending on your extended benefit plan.

I am also able to provide EAS Counselling Services to Military Employees and Federal Government Employees and their families through  my contract with Health Canada.

My fee is $200.00 per hour. ( plus 5% GST)
